The United Nations Alliance of Civilizations Fellowship Programme – Selected for the Fall 2013 EUNA class trip to North Africa and the Middle East. Met with governmental, non-governmental and community-based organizations for high-level meetings on intercultural dialog, social justice and xenophobia. The 2011 UNITY Global Reporting Fellowship– Selected to represent the National Association of Black Journalists at the United Nations High Level Meeting on HIV/AIDS in New York City. Stories were made available in print and online for more than 3,000 delegates who attended.

New Jersey Press Association’s 2010 & 2011 Robert P. Kelly Award – Second and third place awards for news and feature writing by a first-year reporter for sustainable living stories, breast cancer patient/survivor profiles, and state agriculture.
